Earth Mama,Angel Baby Giveaway

I was approached last month about doing a giveaway with Earth Mama,Angel Baby. I had seen their products on the shelves, but had never tried them. So I asked if I could get some samples to review before participating. (Earth Mama Angel Baby provided this product for my review at no cost.)  They sent me samples of their Milkmaid Tea (not that I need it) and Happy Feet foot soak. I tried both and really liked them. The tea has fennel which is a very distinct flavor, but I don’t mind it. I wish I had found this when I was having trouble breast feeding my little ones! And the foot soak smells wonderful! I could just sit and smell it all day long. So,here we go with our first Natural Mom,Healthy Child give away!

I failed at breastfeeding with my son (only did it for about a month, then milk dried up,I now know why) but I’ll be having a baby soon and the thing I’m looking forward to the most IS breastfeeding!

My favorite pregnancy story is more about my hubby then me. I was having cravings for spicy foods, specifically jalapenos. I bought a huge costco jar of jalapenos. I was eating them with quesadillas, quite happily, and very often. Then…my mom said that spicy food would give my baby acne and skin problems. So I stopped eating the spicy food, even though the cravings were really strong.

One day,I walked into the kitchen and saw Chris at the counter…I said “hey, what are you doing?”He turned and looked at me,with intensity and fire in his eyes,a BIG ccoking spoon in hand and the HUGE jar of jalapenos in front of him,and said “I don’t know what’s wrong with me…I just can’t get enough of these…”

Four years later this still makes me laugh.

I have another funny story about nursing…My new baby boy was fussing…I was getting to him but had to finish the project at hand. My 16 month old daughter sat next to him trying to soothe him “it’s OK ba-ba-ba-beeee”then she lifted her shirt and asked me to give her the baby. When she put her hands out her shirt fell. She put her shirt up again and said “ok,give me the baby”as her hands came out to hold him…her shirt fell again. Finally she lifted her shirt, held it with her chin and said “OK,now”And put only one hand up…I just started to laugh (at her wonderful sweetness) and said “thank you, monkey, but you don’t have any milk. Let me do this part and you can help burp him. I am sure most ladies have stories of their babies nursing dolls or wanting to nurse other babies…it is so sweet.

Congratulations on your first giveaway! I hope that your website would continue to reach lots and lots of mommies! I LOVE pregnancy (minus the sick part) and breastfeeding! =D Oddly, some of my favorite memories of pregnancy and breastfeeding are also my most embarrassing and funniest–probably why they’re so memorable…heehee…When I was pregnant with my third baby,I asked my oldest son (3 at the time),“do you want a baby boy or a baby girl?”His response–”A baby rabbit!”
