   | This weekend Mark and I took Ross and a friend to see Star Wars I:The Phantom Menace in 3D. But before we could go,they had to get ready:Donning Star Wars T-shirts and black pants we were ready to go…After a little light saber practice,of course. [...] The kids started taking karate this January. It is offered at the school from 2-3 pm. It’s a great activity for all of us. They are having fun and feeling tough;the teacher provides a great Christian and defense based philosophy to the class;it’s great for balance and core strength;and I get an [...] I forgot my camera when we went to McCall,ID this weekend,so I don’t have wonderful pictures to share of our time playing in the snow. So I decided to collect a few of my favorite blog posts from January to share instead: Natural Fun Crafts and sewing projects from Wild Olive,Soule Mama,[...] Last Wednseday we awake to a winter wonderland that called for a a warm fire and reflection~ That caught me staring out the window,instead of laundry~ That turns a cardboard box into a sled~ That requires a push~
That calls for [...] We took a lovely neighborhood stroll this Saturday,actually we didn’t make it off our street,but it was fun just the same. Claire was searching for old bird nests and Ross was taking photos with his camera,while Mark and I enjoyed the clear winter day… Over the holiday break we went to Palm Springs and visited with Mark’s parents. We stayed at the Palm Springs Tennis Club where Mark stayed as a child. Mark was not much older than Claire on his first visit to Palm Springs,and it was a really special experience for Mark to [...] The last few weeks of the year are so busy that I could write 10 posts just to cover them,but I think instead I would like to slow down and take sometime to reflect upon the last year. It has been a big year for our family: ~our first year in Idaho I was waiting for snow to take our holiday picture,but I just couldn’t wait any longer. We still have no snow and I know for many people that is a blessing. No icy roads and no snow to shovel,but for our family it’s disappointing. We loved our first white Christmas last year and [...] We had a very busy and emotional week here at the Stillman House. This was the last week that Ross’beloved teacher,Mrs. Daniel,was there before moving to North Carolina. The whole school will miss her and her husband (who has taught 4th grade for 15 years at Ambrose),especially my Ross. There was [...] I have not done a Monday Memory since my camera broke in October,but it is now forcing me into a new medium of video. Or really,forcing Mark into doing more video for me. He is the video guru around here. He is really good at it when he has the time,and I [...] |
